Alcohol precipitation tanks are used for alcohol precipitation in traditional Chinese medicine, oral liquids, food and health products, etc. The alcohol precipitation tank is a key equipment in the alcohol precipitation process. It is also applicable to the freezing or room temperature precipitation, solid-liquid phase separation process of suspensions in other industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, oral liquids, health products, dyes, etc.
The concentrated solution of traditional Chinese medicine decoction (usually with a specific gravity of about 1.1) is used to remove non alcohol soluble starch, protein, etc. It is prepared into a liquid with a certain alcohol content by adding alcohol, and then subjected to solid-liquid separation by low-temperature freezing and settling at room temperature to improve the alcohol content and clarity of the traditional Chinese medicine extract, thereby enhancing product quality. Concentrate and alcohol according to the process requirements, add their respective proportions and turn on frozen salt water or cooling water. Stir and mix evenly until the required temperature of the material is reached. Stop stirring and continue to introduce frozen salt water or cooling water into the jacket to ensure the required liquid temperature. After the sedimentation is completed, open the supernatant discharge valve and use a self-priming pump to extract the supernatant. Due to the installation of a floating ball type liquid outlet, the liquid level gradually decreases with the supernatant, and the floating ball also decreases with the liquid level. After the supernatant is fully extracted, as the density of the turbid liquid is much higher than that of the supernatant, the floating ball floats on the surface of the sediment and does not further descend, and the liquid outlet automatically stops discharging. At this point, the slag outlet can be opened to discharge the sediment. According to the different materials, the precipitated substances are different. 2. Structural characteristics of alcohol precipitation tank: This equipment consists of a cylindrical body with a jacket, an elliptical head, and a conical bottom, equipped with a stirring system that meets GMP requirements and a special fine tuned rotating liquid outlet pipe. Frozen salt water or cooling water can be introduced into the jacket of the cylinder to indirectly cool the feed liquid and control the temperature required for alcohol precipitation.
3. The clear liquid outlet is a liquid outlet tube that is at a certain angle to the cylinder and can rotate 360 °. This tube is equipped with a guide gear, and the rotation direction of the liquid outlet tube is adjusted by the hand wheel outside the tank top to ensure that the clear liquid is basically extracted without causing sediment (including flocculent substances) to be extracted. There are light holes and sight holes on the top of the tank to inspect the discharge of liquid from the tank.
